Description:

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for the successful delivery and completion of eMASON Clarifire® application implementations and related projects. The Technical Project Manager effectively manages project work through all stages of the SDLC including solution scoping, estimating, planning, initiating, executing, controlling and closing processes. The Technical Project Manager is highly skilled at understanding the complex needs of the business, translating its priorities into technical project plans and orchestrating the successful execution of the work to the specified timelines on a consistent basis.

Duties:

Scope the project work through discovery of business requirements, non-functional requirements and translation to technical work effort, SDLC project plans and work breakdown scheduling.

Manage project work in alignment with the Statement of Work (SOW) obligations and ensure accurate team reporting of billable hours for efficient client invoicing against the project budget on a monthly basis.

Effectively execute and control the project work through proactive risk identification, mitigation and issues management.

Create project documentation and artifacts as needed to support the SDLC implementation methodology or documentation requirements.

Manage the overall project coordination, including managing scheduling, assigning tasks, motivating resources and resolving problems.

Provide consistent and concise verbal and written communications to project stakeholders including project performance reporting, milestones reporting, status reporting, issues and risks management reporting and quality reporting on a regular basis.

Prioritize project work plan packages, tasks and actions on a consistent basis.

Facilitate the creation of deployment approach, training plan, & supporting operational needs.

Upon client acceptance of completed project, work with Operations & Support teams to facilitate training and transition for maintenance & ongoing support.

Create project closure reports including validation of assumptions behind original business case, lessons learned, & support of Operations during initial period.

Work to create repeatable implementation plans with a focus on reduction of costs associated with implementation and methodologies that are highly effective.

Qualifications:

Five (5) plus years of recent/current Enterprise Project Management experience with full lifecycle involvement in web application software development projects (.NET or Java EE)

Excellent and thorough knowledge of the SDLC process and implementation methodologies best suited for web application development.

Proven skills and ability in scoping, planning, executing and controlling technical project work.

Demonstrated managerial skills and ability to structure and lead teams successfully through the full lifecycle of software solution implementation projects

Strong working knowledge of .NET application architectures.

A strong technical understanding of web application architectures through hands-on application development, technical architect experience or demonstrated technical project management.

Strong knowledge of data integration architectures and schemas including web services, XML/XSD, SOAP, EDI as well as batch integration and file transfer approaches.

Demonstrated ability and skill with requirements analysis, process analysis, process modeling, documenting workflows and developing technical specifications for software development.

Strong communication skills and ability to communicate succinctly and instill confidence with internal stakeholders and the company's customers.

Requirements:

A Bachelors Degree in Business or related field is required. MBA or related degree graduate level degree preferred.

Ten (10) years plus years of overall proven success in the high tech industry with a minimum of five (5) years in enterprise software application development project management work either with a software vendor, professional services consulting firm or IT project management organization.

Mortgage Industry, Financial Services/Consumer lending experience preferred.

PMI PMP certification is highly desired.

Exceptional writing skills and reporting capabilities.

Ability to travel up to 50% travel during implementation periods
