Duties: | Apply strong technology industry knowledge and programming / database expertise to influencing technical design decisions and executing development assignments with uncompromising quality.
Employ a methodical, technically-informed approach to problem diagnostic and troubleshooting efforts aimed at quickly and efficiently identifying and resolving root-causes.
Assess objectives for assigned projects, recommend technical strategies and specific tactics to achieve objectives. Demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge across technical functions to accurately anticipate and measure impacts.
Share responsibility with other team members for the on-time, high-quality delivery of individual and team objectives, requiring close coordination with other team members and the ability to diplomatically drive peers toward increasingly high standards of technical quality, productivity, and performance against specific assignments.
Work closely with key stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, recommend and implement solution options.
Meticulously and professionally document the results of all work efforts to ensure the transfer and retention of institutional knowledge.
| Qualifications: | Object Oriented Programming and a basic understanding of common Design Patterns, Object-to-Relational Mapping (ORM), object models, and object related hierarchy.
Strong SQL Server (2000, 2005) and database performance management expertise. Must be able to maintain/write/tune stored procedures and triggers, database Maintenance Plans, and perform ongoing performance evaluation and tuning. Make recommendations on optimizing database design within the context of current development objectives.
2-3 years ASP.Net knowledge.
VB.Net knowledge - eMASON is a VB.Net shop (while C# knowledge is welcome, it is not used in our applications).
JavaScript knowledge.
Strong understanding of XML and its usage.

Candidate must have completed at least 3 .Net web projects and 1 project involving an object model in a professional office environment.
Must be able to work in an Extreme Programming / Agile rapid development environment with deliverables every 2 weeks
Be more than proficient at both written and spoken English
Must be able to work independently without a lot of supervision
Must enjoy being a heads-down coding programmer |
