Duties:

Inside/Outside Sales
• Make outside sales calls
• Inside commercial sales, helping service the commercial customer
• Manage commercial events (commercial breakfasts)
• Manage the “Pre-Blitz Checklist” and “Post Blitz Checklist” during blitz days as well as the “Pipeline/Scorecard” and achieving 100% of commercial sales activity goals
• Manage the commercial data base in ACT, all KAPs, CCI’s, promotional leads
• Prepare quotes
• Answer incoming commercial calls
• Generate commercial leads from calling lists
• Place outbound commercial calls
• Establish and maintain good customer relations
• Coordinate with purchasing department any product shortage or outages.
• Assess customer needs and process customer telephone orders, quotes, price and delivery inquiries, and checking availability of stock.
• Proactively identify sales opportunities
• Negotiate price/terms
• Identify potential customers from previous buying activity and up-sell to current commercial customers
• Prospect new accounts to identify and qualify new prospective customers through a combination of internet research, current news, key associations, published company directories, and the use of purchased databases
• Provide follow-up on purchases
• Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed; including coding, costing and pricing.
• Work jointly with Regional Sales Manager to establish/expand relationships with new and existing clients

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years industrial supply inside or outside sales experience preferred
• Exceptional phone presence and enthusiasm, zero-call reluctance, aggressive and well organized
• Self-starter and strong closer, with multi-tasking ability
• Excellent computer skills. Must be highly proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent time management, coordination, organization, and follow-up skills
