Overall Purpose of the Position/Function Develop a client base in a specified territory. Oversee all sales activities within the territory. Penetrate and dominate the Industrial and Plumbing markets, specifically in the areas of tapping, line stopping and valve insertion equipment and contract services. Responsibilities 1. Manage sales activities in a specific sales region, which may include generating leads, generating sales proposals, negotiating and procuring sales contracts, delivering signed contracts to operations. 2. Responsible for business/client development within a region, including cold call meetings and developing strategies to meet an individual clients needs. 3. Join and participate in local industry associations. 4. Conceptual sales and closing accounts with Industrial, Plumbing and consulting engineering customers. 5. Meet and/or exceed individual revenue threshold. 6. Timely follow-up on leads generated through both corporate and regional efforts. 7. Daily and weekly reporting of sales activities, schedules and contracts. 8. Abide by on-the-job site safety requirements. 9. Attend and participate in both regional and national conferences and sales seminars, including giving technical presentations. 10. Initiate Project kick-off meetings prior to project start-up. 11. Work closely with Operations to determine specific project requirements and assist in contract interpretation and client interface. 12. Complete Special Projects as requested. Requirements SKILLS - Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to use a computer. Travel is essential. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - Degree preferred. Industrial and plumbing experience required with sales exposure to Contractors, Engineers and Municipalities. (EOE/AA/MFDV) |
