Description: |
| Responsible for daily functions of the QC/QA department. Supervises staff of Quality Control Inspectors. Plans weekly/daily schedule of department staff. Ensures materials and workmanship meet applicable industry codes and standards. Works with fabrication and erection personnel to identify material and/or workmanship issues. Updates testing procedures to ensure compliance. Maintains records and ensures compliance for company certifications. Makes certain that procedures needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the AISC Certification Standard. |
Qualifications: |
HS Diploma or equivalent. 10 years related experience in structural steel industry as a QC Manager or 5 years experience as QC Manager along with 5 years as a Certified Welding Inspector. Must have CWI certification. Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of: AWS, ASCE, and AISC standards and codes; applicable federal and state building codes; production/material specs related to fabrication and erection of structural steel.
