Description: |
The Business Analyst/Trainer interacts extensively with the client conducting research and analyzing business/user needs. This resource is responsible for the development or modification of detailed documentation which parallels the clients overall business strategies to include user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify an information system/software application. This person will also be responsible for user training. A Business Analyst / Trainer must be detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships throughout the life cycle of the project.

Duties: |
Primary Responsibilities
The Business Analyst / Trainer will work in small teams to assist with new product and system enhancements projects throughout the development process, including:
Interacting directly with clients to gather business requirements information and understand business/user needs
Translating business requirements into technical specifications
Defining interfaces required and methods of transmission
Developing processes, flow diagrams and screen layouts for software applications
Working with developers to clarify/refine/elaborate requirements as the technical implementation progresses
Creating Training Documentation
Conducting several training sessions
Working with QA team to ensure the delivery of quality software
Work with the user community to provide system training

Qualifications: |
Knowledge
Working Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Feasibility Study experience is a plus
Understanding of web application design/developments and database platforms
Current and future state business operations modeling
Current and future state process design
Current and future state solutions design
Demonstrated understanding of one or more of the following: Visual FoxPro, Windows/Windows Server/MS IIS, SQL, XML, .Net suite of tools
Skills
Bachelors degree in a computer related field such as MIS
3-5 years business experience
5 years web development experience
Experience conducting JAD sessions
Data modeling
Advanced skills with desktop applications (word processing, spreadsheets, project management, development tracking, version control tools)
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Strong User Training experience; creating training documents and conducting user training sessions
Proactive approach to all tasks and responsibilities
Focus on quality, project completeness and thoroughness
Excellent written and oral communication skills
