Actuarial Analysis Director

Description:

Universal Health Care Group, a privately held managed care company, is in immediate need of a full time Actuarial Analysis Director to manage all analytical, cross-functional, and technical aspects of the benefit design, pricing, and bidding for both the Medicare Advantage and Part D product. The Actuarial Analysis Director will be responsible for the timely submission of final bids in compliance with CMS submission requirements and consistent with company business objectives; managing and supervising the Bid Development staff to ensure accurate, timely completion of all benefit design and bid development steps; developing monthly IBNR reserve calculations; and Coordinating analysis, discussion and resources across all company departments (Sales, Network, Health Services, Finance, Operations, Compliance) in support of benefit design and pricing. The Actuarial Analysis Director must have a master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or related field, have an ASA or FSA designation, have 3-5 years experience in healthcare data analysis and developing Actuarial pricing and reserve models and assumptions. The Actuarial Analysis Director must also be proficient in developing program rates, preparing cost estimates and developing competitive bids for Medicare and Medicaid, have exceptional project management and independent decision-making skills, and have superior skills in Excel, Access, SQL, SAS and/or VBA. Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements: - Experience organizing, leading and successfully completing the Medicare Advantage Bid filing process. (3+ years experience preferred) - Experience evaluating and developing monthly financial projections - Experience managing and developing analytical staff - 3-5 years experience in healthcare data analysis and developing Actuarial pricing and reserve models and assumptions. - Graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or related degree preferred - ASA or FSA designation Skill Requirements: - Demonstrated work experience developing program rates, preparing cost estimates and developing competitive bids for Medicare and Medicaid. - Superior skills in Excel, Access, SQL, SAS and/or VBA. - Exceptional project management and independent decision-making skills. - Significant experience in a work environment requiring substantial interaction with multiple levels of an organization (C-level, direct operations, middle management, and senior management) - Complex problem solving skills - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Company Information: Universal Health Care Group, Inc. is a managed care company that has been providing Medicare Advantage and Medicaid Health Plans to eligible beneficiaries since 2003.
