We are currently seeking a PRN (Pool-as needed) Chaplain for patient and family visits in our Hospice Houses in Sun City and Temple Terrace.
An ordained Catholic Priest is preferred for this position.

Duties: |
| The Chaplain provides a wide range of spiritual services to patients and families enrolled in any of the Company programs. The Chaplain, in conjunction with other interdisciplinary team members, evaluates spiritual needs on a case-by-case basis so that appropriate spiritual care can be provided. At all times the Chaplain works closely with the interdisciplinary team to identify and problem solve spiritual care issues. Spiritual care and services may include Chaplain visits, contacting community clergy, enlisting a volunteer to meet spiritual needs, and/or conducting memorial and funeral services. The Chaplain also provides spiritual support to the staff and volunteers of the Company. This support may include activities and events such as holding memorial/funeral services, participating in staff support and individual ministry related to patient/family care. The Chaplain will adhere to the highest standards of professional values. The Chaplain will lead by example, modeling for other staff, as well as for volunteers. |
Qualifications: |
•Graduate of accredited college/university.
•Ordination/endorsement from an ordaining body recognized by the Endorser's Conference, Veterans Administration that demonstrates the candidate has standing with the organization.
•Masters in Divinity or related degree from an accredited seminary or institution.
•Clinical Pastoral education preferred.
•Hospice or health care experience preferred.
•Must have a valid driver's license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
•Must be available for patient visits on-call.
•Must be able to physically access (i.e., navigate stairs and narrow spaces, endure heat and lack of air conditioning) any home, hospital, nursing home and/or ALF.
•Must have the endurance to manage demands of a hospice care field work position, (i.e., time, travel, home/facility arrangements, stress, et. al.)
•Individual must be able to communicate clearly in English.
